Therefore this blog will have photographs, drowing and thoughts about many things.
In this first post I decided to talk about penguins. On my summer vacation I went to Zoo Santo Inácio in Avintes, Vila Nova de Gaia. The Zoo is a place where we can be in real contact with nature. There are many species of animals, as you would expect in a zoo, but there are also very pleasant green spaces. The Zoo offers demonstrations with animals to the visitors. There are demonstrations of birds of prey, where birds are amazing and do fun tricks; demonstractions of reptiles, where I even touch a Piton!
This year I was surprised to see a demonstration of feeding Penguins. Very funny!
Penguins roamed the water in search of his food while a group of them was close to the keeper because they knew that he had fish. They stayed close to him all the time, getting the fish directly from him, instead of going to the water. When the zookeeper hid the bowl where the fish was behind his back they turned and went away. The attendant said they were only interested because they knew he had food.
It was fun. The photograph shows the group of penguins next to its handler when he still had fish in the bowl.
